With all that amazing build up at the beginning I was expecting something wonderful, but it just got to an annoyingly high note without really changing anything. It was really disappointing and I hope you eventually do decide to rework the song. It has a LOT of potential :D

AliceMako responds:

Well the thing is this is just some parts of a live set of mine which i intended to turn into a full track provided it had at least as good a reception as it did on the dancefloor, which unfortunately did not prove to be the case.

There's a notable difference between playing electronica live as in on the fly, pressing play to start a playlist in order to justify that it says dj in front of your name on a flyer or sitting in front of the computer whilst composing a track over the course of time.

This demo has not performed well at all online and thus doesn't justify spending further resources on my part.

All this said, thanks for your shout out and i'm glad you enjoyed some of it.

Someone needs to make an 8-bit mini-skyrim game now to fit this music.

ObsidianSnow responds:

That'd be pretty rad, I agree.

Definitely deserving of a five bro, keep up the good work! This theme sounds like something I would find in a big video game series. Excuse me while I check out your other work :D

Deemo-R responds:

I'm glad you liked it! Modesty aside, there's a lot of things that can be done with this piece to really push it beyond where it is now into that "big game series" feeling ;D

Thanks for listening and commenting! <3

I was just about to say this sounds PERFECT for a game like battle network and then I saw that was the intention all along. Good job and keep up the good work :D

EliteFerrex responds:

Thanks; I'll certainly try. Love me some Battle Network.

Great job!

viewtifulday responds:

Hey, thanks a lot!

It was good, but it sounds like you're starting half way into the song and the music never really picks up. You have the skeleton of the song you just need to add a little more and it'll sound great. Also at about 1:35 to 1:45 you get pretty random and off key with the sounds :/

Xertec responds:

yeah. the last part was tacked on...idk

I like it though you might want to change the title because ragnarok is the nordic end of times(which supposedly already happened) and the quote at the beginning talks about a biblical prophecy...

AliceMako responds:

Well, see here's the thing, post redesign i cant do that. ( Ask anyone, no changing project titles anymore )

Secondly its great to hear from somebody in the know, that aside ragnarok allegedly took place during the 1950s and the sample is from a piece of fiction that takes place during this era.

The bible is referenced because this fictional scenario involves giant mutated ants, the meek in question, and judeo-christian myth happens to be the predominant paradigm where the story is set, namely north america.

My take on naming it for the norse twilight of the gods is exactly for this reason and this reason alone, i think very highly of ants and a final showdown between them and mankind makes a very interesting flight of fancy.

All that said, glad you like it.

I like everything after 2:40

EdgeCrimson responds:

Yeah, it goes from a slow piece to a pretty interesting melody at that point. It's a very interesting theme at the surface, but the percussion part is very boring and could certainly use some work. Thanks for the review!

It's good, but I don't see how it's fast paced...Or for that matter, how it could be a battle theme >_>

jpops0702 responds:

Um, ok. I think it's fast paced (mm=144 bpm). As far as "battle theme" eh your point of view I guess decides its use. Thanks for your review.
